Mary Ann and Al have been such great support. They are raising their grandson so their empty nest isn't so empty right now. Al is a computer nerd and Mary Ann is an administrator for Danville Schools. What a great couple!

Nancy and Keith

Nancy and Keith live in Danville. Kieth is a counselor for the Wayne Township School system and Nancy is a nurse for the Marion County Health Department. Good People!

Keith, Steve and Al - Hangin

Keith, Nancy, Al, Mary Ann, Steve and I have a dinner date once a month during the winter months. We really enjoy their company. Good Friends - Good Times!

Heather told me.

Heather told me I need to update my blog. So here goes. Work has been very hectic lately. We are very short on staff right now which makes the staff we have work overtime. Believe me there is a lot of overtime. I received a 15% raise! Woo hoo!!! Gotta love that! My niece Morgan is living with us and attending her Junior year at Avon. Her Mom, my sister, and I went to "Back to School Night" Thursday. We had a blast! LOL One of her teachers graduated from my High School and we knew some of the same people. It was funny. This is one of Morgan's teachers that she likes the most. I'm going to be teaching a new class of dispatchers starting the 15th of September. It will last for 3 weeks which means I will have weekends off. Looks like everything will work out for me to got to Florida in October for Greg's wedding and then on to Phoenix to visit Mary. I really need to get away. Steve and I celebrated our 10th anniversary. He gave me a diamond anniversary ring. I gave him a Bovado watch. Had it engraved with F.M.H.T.T.F.S. Yeah, try to figure that one out! LOL

Great picture don't you think?

What a Romantic Spot to bring your lunch.
The Gardens were just beautiful. Reminding me of my Grandmother when she would take me to visit the gardens.

Steve and I visited the Indianapolis Museum of Art during my vacation.

Casey Jumping into the Pool

Casey loves to get in the pool. It is getting hard to keep her out. She will swim until she is just exhausted. LOL I think she loves the jumping in as much as the swimming.

Micah and Grandma Donna in the Pool

Micah

This is my Grandson Micah. Micah likes to come over and play with his Grandmother Donna. Especially in her pool. Once he gets in it is hard to get him out. He loves watching Casey jump in and swim around. With the blow up wings around his arms Micah is able to swim around the pool all by himself. Grandma was teaching him to float on his back. I did get him to lean back and kick his feet out in front of him. Only he wouldn't trust me to lay his head back. Maybe that is something we will work on.

Reving my Engine

The last of the 3 day weekend is here!!! I am dragging this morning. Our neighbor was revving his engine last night. It was 10 pm before I finally got to sleep. Which made my 4am wake up a drag. I was telling the girls at work that my neighbor should be glad I don't have his phone number. They said, "NO! You should be glad you don't have his phone number"!! I'm wondering what makes a grown man go out to his car at 9:46pm at night and start up a car he doesn't drive on a regular bases and sit and Rev it up for 15 - 20 minutes? Even I could tell it was running. Which brings up another question. Why would you park a car you don't drive in a garage and let other cars you DO drive sit out in the elements? I know I know, Classic! There is nothing classic about this piece of junk. I think he drove one like it when he was a kid. I say, Grow Up! Let the past go. If I haven't used something in a year out it goes.

Gotta Love Getting Use to a NEW DO!!

Hey! It's Thursday, Hair Cut Day! LOL I thought I was getting a trim but Cheryl gave me a cut. We are growing my bangs out a little. I think she thought she would rescue me and give me a short cut for the summer. I had too much hair!!

I did take my car in today. The drivers heated seat had stopped working. Can't have that! Lucky for me it was still under warranty. Woo Hoo

Steve and I get our picture taken tonight for the new Church Directory. I hate getting my picture taken when I know it won't turn out good.

Steve and I moved into our house 9 years ago today! Happy Birthday House!

Nicholas

Today Nick is enjoying a Day with Grandma Donna. Drew and Joel are both in school. After we dropped Joel off at school we came to Grandma's house. We played with the duck game and watched some disney. Grandma cut Nick's hair! We are going to call Granny Pat and see if she wants to go to lunch with us. Maybe we will go to Panera Bread. That is where Grandma Donna likes to go.

Play Safe

Yesterday and Today I am working at the ole 911 Glue Factory. I work 12 hour shifts. Last week I took a call where a 5 yr old boy shot his 4 yr old sister in the face! The little girl didn't make it and the police want to charge the Father for neglect. People have got to be Responsible! I use to always say, if you can think it, your kids will do it! I don't know if this Father belongs in jail. I do believe that he has learned a lesson. Guns are not childs play and they need to be secured away from where a child might get it into their hands.

Happy Mother's Day

Today Steve and I had my Mother Pat, my Sister Sherry and my two daughters along with their families over for lunch. We had baked ham, cheesy potatoes, green beans, over night salad with veggies and dip.
I had to work this morning at 6am so Steve had to get things started for me. He had to put the ham in the oven and mix up the cheesy potatoes. I got off work at 11am and when I walked in the door, the oven was on. I asked if the ham was in the oven. Steve said, Ham? The ham was still in the refrigerator!!! Not only that but he didn't put the cream of chicken soup into the cheesy potatoes as it called for. I was like, "What the Faheezies". I had sent him an e-mail and everything. He started saying how sorry he was and it was all of his fault. OK, I did let him off the hook eventually. Everything was ready and the meal was great by the time everyone arrived. Whew!
